Dualsim Mini now avaliable
What is DUALSIMTM?
DUALSIMTM mobile phones are fitted with 2 SIM CARD slots allowing DUALSIMTM operation of the phone.
Mobile phones with DUALSIMTM Card capability have the advantage of allowing both SIM cards to be active simultaneously and allow calls to be received on either number, unlike adapters that require you to switch between phone numbers.
Normal GSM phones contain a single transceiver; DUALSIMTM phones have DUAL TRANSCEIVERS and display SIGNAL STRENGTHS for both networks. A phone with a single transceiver cannot be converted to simultaneous DUALSIMTM operation; at best you can only store both cards in an adaptor and manually switch between phones. The use of aftermarket adaptors in SINGLE transceiver phones could void the warranty of the phone and are not guaranteed to work on all phone models.
The inherent advantages of using DUALSIMTM mobile phones can be seen in two aspects:
- Firstly, you no longer need to carry two phones with you
and monitor both handsets
for calls or messages; most people would also need to
undergo the time consuming
process of replicating phone numbers and personal
information onto each handset.
DUALSIMTM phones integrate
both sim cards phone listings
into the built in phone book to create one seamless
phone directory.
- Secondly, people can now have access to two separate phone lines on different networks; this allows you to conveniently access different network tariffs and charges without having to constantly physically change the sim cards inside the phone to take advantage of these offers. Eg If you have a SIM card with UNLIMITED TEXT MESSAGE offering and another with FREE CALLS offer.

Health Benefits of Headsets
What will a headset do for you? Did you know that using a
headset on a daily basis will reduce unnecessary back pain and fatigue caused
by cradling the phone on your shoulder? Using a headset as part of your daily
work routine will help improve your posture, and make you feel more active and
refreshed at the end of the work day.
Not only does a headset help
you physically, it also increases your work productivity. Studies have shown
that using a headset instead of holding the phone frees up a hand and can
improve productivity by up to 43%.
Mitel wins ‘IP PBX – Soft PBX Vendor of the Year’ Award
Mitel was selected over its competitors following an online vote in which UK resellers identified the vendor that helped them grow their business the most through identifying market opportunities and helping them deliver the solution with proactive sales, technical and marketing support.
Andy Elliot, EMEA marketing director, Mitel, commented, "It is an honour to be recognised by the UK channel community at this important industry event. Latest Nortel Software Release Offers SMBs New Levels of Simplicity and Unified Communications
November 3, 2009
TORONTO - Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) can obtain productivity, cost-savings and the investment protection critical to success in today's business environment with new unified communications-based (UC) software from Nortel* [OTC: NRTLQ]. The latest software release 5.0 for Nortel's award-winning Business Communications Manager (BCM) adds new UC capabilities, including unified presence, and greater simplicity with the introduction of a common software stream for BCM50 and BCM450 .
The Nortel BCM450 and BCM50 are Linux-based IP/TDM PBXs delivering application-rich, all-in-one solutions for converged voice and data communications. The BCM50 serves businesses with up to 50 users while the larger capacity BCM450 is suitable for growing medium to large businesses and branch offices with up to 300 users. Each supports a mix of IP and digital clients and can enable firms to save up to 70 percent of their original investment by reusing existing equipment.
As part of the new BCM Rls 5.0 software, BCM450 and BCM50 provide SMBs with dynamic UC features like InTouch, which delivers true federated presence, and popular integrated communications applications and capabilities. InTouch lets users communicate easily with anyone in their personal directory - across Microsoft Outlook, Nortel BCM, MSN, and Skype for click-to-call, click-to-IM, and click-to-email. By connecting people faster, improving collaboration and speeding up the time to decision, Nortel estimates that unified communications can help businesses realize cost-savings and an increase in productivity of up to 18 percent.
